Three-day hike to Baburhan mountain at July 22-24, 1999. Baburhan is the first big mountain on the way from Biysk to Altai. On the map of Maiminsky area Baburhan is at left top side, outside of Maiminsky area and Altai Republic. Travelers can reach Baburhan by bus from Biysk or Gorno-Altaisk, getting out at crossroad to Platovo village.

			The day turns into evening. Heat is over, and light breeze is pleasant. After climb we are near the top, at the delightful grassy site with yellow flowers. Fields far below look like squares of different colors...
